School Pictures 1st grade

Just like last year, I was nervous leading up to school pictures this year. Why is it that right before significant pictures, he changes his smile? A few weeks before picture day, he started smiling with squinty eyes and a flat long mouth. I can't find any pictures of it, probably because I avoid taking pictures when he's pulling that face.

 Just like last year, we practiced our picture face and it was always the same. I thought for sure when I opened his backpack and saw the pictures he might be pulling something like this:

 

 

But, once again, I was completely surprised to see this cute face showing through! I don't know how they get kids to smile and look natural, but those photographers are miracle workers!
