Children grow up so fast! This last year I've tried to take a photo of Lincoln each month with his giraffe to show how much he changed each month. It was fun looking back seeing how small he used to be. He's grown up so much in the last year!

1st birthday!
I am still having a hard time thinking about my baby turning 1. It's strange thinking that this time last year I had a brand new little angel, and now he's a walking, babbling, running, giggling 1 year old! Flash back to last month:
October 21 my little man turned 1 year old! What did we decide was a good way to start a birthday? With birthday cake pancakes! Lincoln and Ethan each got their own beater to lick while I cooked the pancakes. (I haven't quite figured out how this is going to work if I ever have any more kids. ha ha)

Final result: Halloween birthday cake pancakes! They were a hit. Both boys went to town and filled up their tiny bellies.

We spent the rest of the day just hanging out. We went and got Lincoln some new boots and enjoyed each others company. Sunday we had a small family birthday dinner/party for Mr. Lincoln at my moms house.
Lincoln's monster cake: (There were a few mishaps with the cakes, but they still turned out cute. He doesn't care, he's only 1 afterall)

Lincoln's personal monster cake to devour all by himself.

He was very excited to get his hands on those marshmallow eye balls.

Happy baby!

He didn't care if there were cake problems, he loved it anyway!!

He even kind of got the hang of opening a few presents.

Playing with his new toys.

Dad and George had to have some car races too.

It was a good day. Now that he's 1, he can slow down an little and not grow up anymore! :) (If only it worked that way.) Happy Birthday Baby Boy!!

12 months
I can't believe my baby boy is 1! He is just too little to be a 1 year old. I took him to the doctor for his 1 year check up and here are his stats:
Head circumference: 45.3 cm (25%)
Height: 29" (25%)
Weight: 18 lbs 1 oz (3%)
It's so strange having such a tiny little guy! Ethan was such a tank and always hit the 97% for weight. Lincoln isn't even at the 20lb mark, so we can't switch car seats yet. Tiny little boy.
Some random facts about Lincoln this last month:
*He started walking just after he turned 11 months old! He took his first steps on Sept. 27. Now he thinks he is such a big boy and tries to run after Ethan. He's getting fast too!
*He's still a really good eater and loves table food. He eats slow and steady. I can just keep feeding him small portions and he'll sit and eat for a good hour. One night he grazed for a good two hours while I cooked dinner and did the dishes. You would have no idea he could eat so much when you see how small he is. :)
*He's getting more and more difficult to photograph. Every time the camera is out, he turns away from me and ignores me until it's put away. Annoying. Hopefully it'll pass soon. It makes taking monthly photos not very fun, and the hopes of getting a good one ... slim.
*He has 7 1/2 teeth now. 4 on top, 3 and one coming in on the bottom. It's made him a bit on the cranky side. Hopefully it'll feel better soon.
*Ethan can still make him laugh ridiculously hard when he wants too! Lincoln LOVES Ethan.
He's a total sweetheart and just fits right in. It feels like he's been here forever. :)

Halloween
These are a little late, but my computer has been having issues loading pictures ... so, better late than never.
Ethan has been looking forward to Halloween and "trick or treat" for a good month or two now. He has been watching The Nightmare Before Christmas, and any other Halloween movie he could get his hands on non-stop. He watched The Nightmare Before Christmas so often, that little Lincoln would sing one of the songs to himself over and over again. It was quite funny.
Anyway, this year we decided to have the boys be The Three Musketeers. Ber went to work on the costumes, and of course they turned out super cute. Ethan told me for a good month that he wanted to be Harry Potter again. He was really mad about his costume until he was actually wearing it and found out he had a sword. After that, he loved his costume. (He was a little on the grumpy side in a lot of these pictures, he licks his lips a lot so they were cracked and hurting him. Once he got some chapstick and out collecting candy, his mood drastically changed).
My Three Musketeers:

Mr. Lincoln looked so darn cute. He really liked Ethan's sword. It distracted him from his hat too. :)

Kace's family of Three Musketeers:

Ethan at our ward trunk or treat. This was the first year we've ever attended a trunk or treat. It was a little weird, but we went trick or treating in my Grandma's neighborhood after so it worked out.

Once we got started, Tyler suddenly got really smiley and happy. He was being so good. What a little trooper.

Ber and Ethan

Ethan at the robot house again. This house is so fun. Ethan really liked the robot a lot more this year than past years.

When we got home and poured all his candy into one pile, we found out that he had a TON! I had to weigh it again, and it came out to just over 5 1/2 pounds!! That's a lot of goodies.
It's hard to see from this bag, but this is not just a typical 1 gallon bag, it's a 2 gallon ziplock bag, and it's ginormous!

Ethan was exhausted but had a great time. Lincoln was pretty much ready for it to be over and didn't even go out trick or treating with us. He just hung out at my Grandma's house with his Grandma. It was a fun night. Hopefully it met all of Ethan's expectations. :)
