DJ E-Man

Ethan loves to play with anything that has to do with music. We seriously have like 3-4 toy keyboards, a toy guitar, a drum, a xylophone, and who knows what other music toys to play with at our house. This keyboard that he got from Grandma last Christmas is by far the most fun! (For kids and parents both). It comes with a microphone, lots of sound options, a mixing station and .... headphones! Nice. He can play as much as he wants, and I don't have to hear it all blasting through the house.

Bath time

My boys love bath time! (And shower time!) But what makes a bath even more fun than normal??

Having your cousin join in on the fun too!

The tub was getting a little full. Good thing there are only three boys for now. :)

11 months

I'm once again a little behind, but better late than never.

September 21st, my little man turned 11 months old! He's such a sweetheart and is growing up too fast.

*He's still just a tiny little thing
*He still wears size 2 diapers
*He still fits in 6-9 month clothing, but the pants are getting too short on him so we are transitioning to super baggy 12 month clothes so he doesn't have floods
*He loves to eat and is a good little eater!
*He is so so so close to walking! He can pull himself up and stand. He walks along furniture really good. It's going to be any day now.
*He got another tooth and now has 7! 4 on top, 3 on the bottom.
*He's super sweet and loves his Mama!
*He loves Ethan!
*He gets so excited when Mart gets home from work and plays with him. He loves wrestling with Ethan and Mart at night before bed. He may be tiny, but he'll be able to hold his own. :)

I love you little man! I can't believe you are growing up so fast!

Dinosaur Garage

When our daily routine starts to get a little dry and bland, We try and find new ways to spice it up. One morning Ethan was playing with his dinosaurs and the bar stools, so I decided to jazz it up a little and so I threw a couple blankets over the top and make a fort for him and his dinosaurs. Ethan loved it! He called it his dinosaur garage. He played with it all day long!

I guess we'll have to build another "garage" soon!

Goof

Sometimes when I set Lincoln down and get ready to take his picture, he starts doing really weird things. It gets next to impossible some days to get a decent picture. For example:

Instead I get flexible, long legs ninja man:

And super relaxed, extremely long legs man:

Along with several other fun poses. :)

He is such a goof!

Pumpkin Carving

Ethan has been completely obsessed with pumpkins, ghosts, skeletons ... basically all things to do with Halloween lately. His favorite movie has been The Nightmare Before Christmas. He walks around the house scream/singing/shouting the words to "This is Halloween" all day long! He sings it so much that Mr. Lincoln now sings the same song too! It's totally crazy. I keep trying to catch it on video ... but everytime the camera comes out, he stops singing. Maybe one of these days I'll be able to catch him.

Anyway, we had a pumpkin carving party with Kace and Ryan at Ryan's parents house on Sunday. We thought Ethan would be totally excited to see all the pumpkins! We chose Jack from the Nightmare Before Christmas for his pumpkin, but he wasn't all that interested until there was a candle in it. After that, he was super excited about it.

Kace decided to freak Mart out and carve a shark into hers. Ha ha. It was funny.

Ryan and Mr. Tyler. He's getting so big!! He sure loves his Dad.

It's been really fun that Ethan is so into Halloween right now. Martin and I both love Halloween ... in fact, we got engaged on Halloween. It's kind of our holiday. :) I'm excited to take both my boys trick or treating this year! They are going to be super cute!

Change of seasons

With the change of the seasons, we are going to see a lot less of this. . .

A lot less mud and a lot more indoors. Ethan will definitely miss playing outside once the snow hits.

Already??

I have been trying to upload a video for a couple of weeks now, but for some reason blogger just doesn't let me load them anymore! Annoying. Anyway, my sweet little munchkin started walking on September 27!! He's too dang little to start walking! He's getting so good at it now too, he is getting faster and way better at balancing when he steps on a toy or something. I can not believe that he turns 1 next week! Insane. Time goes way too fast.

Camping

This post is quite late, but I figured this was a good way to reminisce about summer during this rainy and cold week.

This summer we only were able to go camping a couple of times. The second time, Kace's in-laws came with us and we had a really good time. Ethan gets so excited to go camping, that by the time we get to our spot and open the door for him to get out, he has so much energy that his little body can't even contain it all. Mart opened his car door and he hit the ground already running! And while he was running he was yelling "I'm running!". He ran up and down the campsite for a good 5-10 minutes before he stopped long enough to see what we were doing.

He loves camping so much. It's full of his favorite things! Dirt, treats, fire, marshmallows, more dirt, people, more dirt, and a huge outdoor arena for him to run in! It definitely shows that he's had a good time when we are back home and he's in the bathtub.

Now onto some pictures!

My mom and Debi both have "peapods". Little pop up tents for their small grandchildren. They are AWESOME! That is where Lincoln slept, and Ethan attempted to sleep for a little while. We pulled them out and popped them open while we were setting up tents and Tyler and Lincoln had somewhere contained and clean to play in until we had the tents up.

We made a huge dutch oven dinner consisting of barbeque chicken, potatoes, green bean casserole, Alan's baked beans and we attempted a dutch oven chocolate turtle cake ... which was a gooey (but delicious) mess.

After dinner we all just hung out and enjoyed each others company.

Mart had to show that he was there too. :)

For some strange reason, every time we would look at Ethan he was trying to take off his clothes. Once he got his jacket off, he would take off his shirt ... which we would put back on, only to have him take it off 5 minutes later.

We have a 2 room tent, which is so nice with two kids and three dogs! Ethan gets his own room, and he sleeps so much better that way! One morning, he was yelling for Mart to get him out. Mart got up and unzipped Ethan's zipper. Ethan was standing there stark naked and freezing! He had taken off his pajamas and his diaper. Mart got him dressed again and during that process Ethan looks at him and in his deep zombie voice says "I eat Zombies!" and leans over and play eats off Mart's face! It was totally random and so funny! What a boy.

Anyway, we had a great time. I'm excited to get out and go camping more next summer!

Big Helper

We have been sick at my house since Saturday, between Ethan getting the 24 hour flu bug Saturday to the awful cold that I got on Monday. Lincoln has had a crazy runny nose all week too. Thankfully, Mart has not caught it yet. Maybe it helps that he is at work all day long and not around us sickies.

Yesterday, in the middle of feeling miserable, Ethan did something to make me laugh really hard. Hard enough my headache got significantly worse, but it was nice to laugh anyway.

Setting: Ethan is watching a movie (because sadly, we watch a lot of movies when we are sick)
He randomly walks to the couch and grabs my nursing cover. (That is nothing new, he likes to put it around his neck and just wear it, kind of like an apron.) He then proceeds to sit down on the couch and cover his legs with the cover. I asked him if he was using it as a blanket. He told me no and then said that he wanted to feed Lincoln! I laughed and just let him keep doing whatever he was doing and then he asked me for a pillow for his lap. I put one on his little legs. He then told me to lay Lincoln down on his lap! I did, only so I could see what he would do next. He proceeded to lift up his shirt and say "Eat Lincoln! Here Lincoln, eat!" I couldn't help it, I erupted in laughter. It was so dang funny. I laughed for a good 5 minutes before I realized, that maybe Ethan is getting old enough that I should watch what I do around him now. Feeding Lincoln may have to be more discreet, even with no visitors at our house.

Kids just do the darnedest things. :)
