Ethan the stink bug!

The other night we must have worn Ethan right out. He went really quiet so we went to check on him and this is what we found:

I've never seen him sleep sitting upright before!!

This is what happens when he goes totally crazy and Dad is the one awake with him in the mornings. :)

And ... this is what happens when we let him choose what he wants to wear. He ends up in jeans, a long sleep red shirt with skulls, a super large bright blue astro boy shirt and ... one sock. That's my boy. :)

We also found him fast asleep like this ...

Ethan and Lincoln

Ethan totally loves his little brother. He always comes to help me when I change his bum, he gets me diapers and wipes and throws it away. He also tries to give Lincoln a binki when he's sad and loves to hug and kiss him. What a sweetheart!

Lincoln also loves his older brother. He always stares at Ethan so intently when he's around.

I sure love my boys!!

Lincoln picture overload!

My sweet little boy is growing like a weed! This is just a post with an overload of updated pictures. He's getting so big!

1 1/2 months (I missed the 1 month mark..whoops! Surgery does that to you...)

Smiley baby!

I thought he was little...until baby Tyler came along! Lincoln hanging out with his brand new cousin.

Snoozing with his Grandpa

2 months old already?!?

We can't get into the doctor until he's nearly 3 months so I won't have all the stats, but when we weighed him ourselves, he weighed in at 11 lbs 9 oz.

Shower

Lincoln isn't a huge fan of baths. I think it's because he gets cold because he's not completely surrounded by water. My sweet baby boy LOVES to take showers with his dad. I think it's because there is a constant flow of warm water and it's all steamy so he's warm the entire time.

Happy boy!

Baby Tyler

After much suffering, Kace finally had her sweet baby boy. He came out looking like the incredible hulk! :) Kace was such a trooper, a nearly 9lb baby with just iv meds. Way to go!!

Super sweet!

Ryan calls me a baby hog. He's not joking. :)

Proud tired mama

Proud dad

Tyler totally inherited his moms HUGE mouth!

I can't get over how big he is! .... Okay, he doesn't look big compared to my now super huge 2 month old, but he's big for a newborn!

Sweet boy. Welcome to the world!!

P.S. I'm going to be your favorite. :)

Surgery Update

I went in for my hernia repair surgery on November 19th in the morning. The doctor said it was complicated but it went well. I'm sure it's nothing like they imagined it to be. He said the holes were larger than they anticipated. They ended up getting one large piece of mesh for both hernias and sewing my muscles around it.

I was given a 20lb weight limit restriction for 6 weeks and sent home later that day. I was left with about 5-6" of staples running vertical up my belly right through my belly button and a gross tube hooked to a large plastic balloon of sorts that was a draining tube. I have a picture of my belly the day before it all got pulled out, but it's pretty gross looking and I'm not sure I want to post it. My belly looks pretty bad after all it has been through recently. It kind of looks like a saggy deflated balloon...but at least it doesn't hurt anymore!

Anyway, I had the tube and staples in for 10 days and just had them pulled out on the 29th. I had also been sleeping on my couch that entire time because I was unable to get myself in and out of my bed and had to be propped up. I have been able to sleep, somewhat propped up in my own bed the last two nights and it has been so nice!

I haven't hurt as much since all the hardware was removed and have been feeling so much better. I also haven't taken any pain killers since monday. I'm excited to know that this will all be behind me very soon!

Christmas Preview

On my birthday, Mart and George dragged out all our Christmas decorations and put up my Christmas tree.

We let Ethan decorate his own Christmas tree, in hopes that he'll leave ours alone. It doesn't always work, but his always turns out so cute so we keep doing it.

Here is Ethan's tree, part way through

Here he is being a goof with his tree when it was finished. We couldn't get him to stand still long enough to take a picture, so this is the best I have.

Here is our completed tree. Mart did a good job by himself!!

Here is an up close picture of Ethan's finished tree:

And our tree at night with the lights.

Baby Lincoln likes to stare at the lights, so we moved his bouncer underneath it.

My sleeping sweet baby:

Fishing

Another way we've keep Ethan entertained was by playing board games. We found this fishing game up in our game closet that we had bought for him a LONG time ago and have just been waiting for him to get big enough to play with it. He LOVES it! He played with it all day long the day we showed him how.

He even learned out to cheat and catch the fish easier...but I guess since he's only 2, we'll let that slide for now.

He got so excited when he caught his own fish!

Cute boy. He's so fun and has been so cute with Lincoln. I can't believe how grown up he's getting. Some days I look at him and ask Mart when Ethan turned 5.

Lincoln picture update

These are just some pictures of my Lincoln baby.

Traves tried to take some newborn pictures for me, and a couple turned out cute. We are going to try again to get some more.

This one I took one day right before we left our house for .. I can't remember where .. but he was dressed up all cute and I just couldn't resist. :)

He's already getting so big and it is starting to make me sad! I love big boys to play with...but I love them when they are super tiny too. I'm just not quite ready for him to grow up yet. I guess it's unavoidable, but I wish it didn't have to happen so fast.

Fort

Another Mart has been keeping Ethan entertained in the house while I was recovering was to build forts out of big boxes we've been saving for Christmas stuff. Ethan thought this was a blast! His dad is full of all sorts of fun ideas. :)

They would makes sure to build a window in their fort so they could poke their heads through and say hi. Kya liked to stick hers through too.

And then after it was all built, Ethan would knock it down and start all over again!
