6 months!

I can't believe my baby is already 6 months old! It has gone by so fast.

Weight: Approx. 14lbs 6 oz
Getting close to being double his birth weight!

I had to postpone his 6 month appointment until later this month, so I won't have an accurate weight and height until he's closer to 7 months.

Milestones:
-He wears size 3-6 month clothes, but can fit into specific 6-9 month items. He's a tiny boy!
-He wears size 2 diapers..but honestly can still fit into a 1. I only moved him up because I didn't think he'd stay in size 1 long enough to go through another box of diapers, but I was probably wrong.
-He's a pro at rolling over and likes to spin in circles when he does it.
-He started eating solids and only dislikes peaches so far. He does okay with peaches only when mixed in with oatmeal. He seems to really like everything else though!
-He adores Ethan and watches him all day long. His face always lights up when Ethan talks to him.
-He's a major Mama's boy, which is really fun for me .. especially considering Ethan is major Dad's boy.
-He occasionally will lean in and suck on my cheek giving me kisses. He doesn't do it very often, or to very many people.

Mama Milestone: I am still breastfeeding him and I am so very proud of myself! I only made it 3 months with Ethan, and it wasn't even exclusively. It was only sporadic supplementing ... The only time Lincoln has ever had formula in his short little life is when he wouldn't eat in the hospital and they threatened to put him in the nicu if I didn't allow them to give him formula to bring up his glucose levels ... lame. He was just fine.

He is such a sweet little spirit and I love having him in my family! I can't imagine life without him.

Potty Training Fun

We have been working on potty training Ethan for quite some time. It's slow moving, probably because he's such a busy boy and doesn't like to slow down for anything. He is doing really well and I just keep hoping that he'll get the hang of it all the way soon. Until then, at least it's not as hard as the first week was!

He gets a little bored going to the bathroom every half hour or so and one day he was totally goofy and wouldn't stop putting his clean underwear on his head! (Thanks for that one George!)

I guess these will be just a few more pictures to add to my "black mail" or "embarrassing photos" pile for the future. :)

Laundry

Laundry is such a dreaded task about my house. I keep up on the washing really good, in fact it's rare when my dirty laundry basket gets full...it's the folding and putting away that gets to me. When we finally have to break down and fold, and fold, and fold ... and fold ... it seems to take far too long.

This sight seemed to help make it a little better though. At least someone likes the laundry!

Best Buds

Usually when I post about "best buds" it's usually a picture of Mart and Ethan ... but now I have another couple I can label as "best buds".

C.H.E.E.S.E.

He's just getting so big and so sweet! He's getting to the point he will actually look at the camera and smile occasionally instead of flopping around like a fish and refusing to look at me. Maybe I'll be able to start taking more photos of him again.

"Cheese!"

20,000 Ball Drop

March 17 the USU chapter of the Society of Physics Students hosted a drop of 20,000 bouncy balls to model the effects of space weather on satellites. The cascading balls represented electron radiation bombardment of a spacecraft. They opened it up to the public and tried to show the community that science can be fun. They dropped the balls out of a helicopter 100ft in the air.

Waiting for the helicopter.

Ethan got a little bored while waiting ...

I think word got out because there were a TON of people there!

Once the helicopter showed up, it only took a minute before the bouncy balls started raining down.

It's hard to see because the balls were so little, but this is of them bouncing around the parking lot.

After the students conducting the experiment gave the okay, the crowds rushed all the bouncy balls. It got a bit crazy ...

Luckily, Ethan was able to get a handful of bouncy balls. Although he doesn't look very excited in this picture, he couldn't stop talking about all the bouncy balls.

Although it got a little crazy with so many people there, it was kind of fun to go see something like that. It's not like you get to see 20,000 bouncy balls falling out of a helicopter very often. :)

5 months!

Little Lincoln is 5 months old! (Okay, I'm slacking. He's nearly 6 months old now ... but flash back a month)

Weight: 13lbs 14 oz

I had taken him to the doctor and his ear infection was finally gone! Poor little guy. It lasted for quite a while.

He's just a tiny little thing. He is just barely starting to fit into size 3-6 month clothes, and some of them are way too big on him still. He still wears his 0-3 month suit to church, and it's quite big on him still.

He really is a good baby. Once he's down for the night, he'll sleep until about 8. Sometimes later. And when he wakes up, he doesn't cry or scream. He just lays there playing with his blanket or he'll whimper until I give him a binki and then he'll just wait for me to get him and feed him.

He loves Ethan and grins whenever Ethan talks to him. I hope that one day they are good friends.

Ethan

What can I say?

I love this boy!

I love this smile! I love when he's so happy his face just lights up. He's growing up so fast and I love watching him grow, but I hate that he's getting so big already. He's such a sweet little boy and I'm so lucky to have him.

Stickers

I got some stickers mixed in with some junk mail the other day. I gave them to Ethan, and he had a blast!

I wish I had a picture of just Ethan, but he was totally covered. He had like 5 per toe, all up his legs, all over his chest, arms and of course his sweet little face. He then proceeded to decorate me and Lincoln, and made us leave them on our faces until he was ready for us to take them off.

Simple pleasures.

It was a fun afternoon, Ethan had a ball .. and I didn't have to spend a dime. I love those kind of days!

Solids

I started my little stink bug on solids a while back. He wasn't sure what he thought about them. He did pretty good though and kept eating until the bowl was empty.

He's growing up so fast! I know everybody always says this, but I just wish he'd stay little longer.
