We got to the zoo mid afternoon, which worked out perfectly. The big crowds were gone and we were able to stay until closing. The crowds thinned way out and right around closing all of the animals that sleep all day started to wake back up, just in time for dinner. :)
Jade was a little sleepy when we got there
Visited the giraffe's in their new home
Compared the boys to the gorillas or monkeys ... or whatever animal they were. I can't remember. Ha.
Watched the Elephants eat some lunch. I think they stayed in this exact same spot for a couple of hours.
Mr. Tyler hanging out with the huge femur bone
This was the first time we had seen the new polar bear/seal/sea lion exhibit. It was pretty fun to watch the seals swimming around. Every time it would swim by, Lincoln would tell me "It's freakin' out me mom!"
We finally let Jade out of the stroller for a little bit, and she loved whatever was in this cage! It looks like small cats. She just stayed in that corner and pointed at them. When we all moved on, she let go of my hand and headed back to see the cats.
Then we took the kids on the carousel
Kace and Lucas
Kace and her boys
We didn't realize that Mart's face was the only one in the sun ... this picture worked out nicely. Ha.
Love watching these cute boys hang out together. They are always goofy and wild, and they have a great time
On our way back to the exit, the lion was awake and awesome
Everyone being silly
After the zoo we all headed to dinner. We had a great time. It was fun to just get out and do something fun together.
