Update

I haven't had a lot to blog about lately, most of that is due to the fact that I've spent 80% of my day everyday for the last 2+ weeks laying on my couch trying to convince my body that it doesn't want me to throw up. It hasn't been working ...

For Christmas my mom burned me a copy of all the survivor and amazing race seasons that have not been released on DVD. While I'm wasting my life away on my couch wishing I could go outside in the sunshine and do something productive, I've been watching those seasons. It's been quite nice to have something to watch other than the same old movies I always watch.

Mart has had to run our household and has been in charge of feeding Ethan as I'm pretty useless, and I think he's getting to the point where he's ready for me to start cooking again. I have to say, he's been doing a good job!

Anyway, today I am 11 weeks. My baby is roughly the size of a large lime or a fig. It's almost fully formed and has been busy kicking and stretching (not that I can feel it yet).

That's about it! Cross your fingers that my morning (or all day long) sickness goes away between 12-14 weeks like a normal person and doesn't last the entire time like with Ethan!

Bubbles

My dear Kacean has taught Ethan a new trick ...

Remind me why I let her babysit again?

Just kidding. She's the best with Ethan and he absolutely loves her! I guess it's a way to get him to drink more milk. :)

Motorcycle

Ethan LOVES to ride on the motorcycle with Mart. Mart will backup to the end of the driveway and they will just ride up the driveway into the garage over and over again. Ethan squeals the whole time and loves to honk the horn.

Mart loves taking Ethan on it because of how funny Ethan is and how much he likes it.

Here is Ethan pushing the horn while riding up the driveway.

I know this one is a bit blurry, but the look on Ethan's face was funny so I had to post it. That's his motorcycle riding face.

When they were finished we set Ethan on the ground and turned around and a second later he had climbed up on the bike by himself and was trying to push the horn.

He's my motorcycle baby. He loves it!

Easter

Ethan was spoiled this Easter for sure. I think it was more Christmas #2. Oh well, he had a good time and that's what matters.

His overly-stuffed Easter basket

He loves guns, and got 4 squirt guns and 1 nerf gun with extra ammo. Here he is all loaded up with his guns.

Mart showing Ethan how to load the ammo into the gun.

After he got over the excitement of the guns, we took him outside to find some eggs.

We just bought a bazillion eggs and scattered them because he likes picking them up so much. And because we live in Richmond ... what could be more appropriate than Cow and Chicken shaped eggs?

He also found a brand new package of sidewalk chalk! He loves to color and his chalk from last year was just about gone.

He found the trail which would lead to his basket.

Happy baby playing with bubbles with his Daddy.

Our neighbors have a bunny and the little boys asked if Ethan could go over and look at it. Ethan is an animal lover and fell in love with this bunny!

Aunt Ber and Aunt Kace came over to hang out and Ber brought Ethan a couple presents. He got a buzz and woody couch and a bowling set! He had so much fun!

Trying out his new couch! He loved sitting on it, standing up opening it, laying down, pretending to snore, jumping up, folding it back into a chair and sitting down again. After that, it would start all over again. What a goofball.

French Toast!

Ethan is a breakfast fanatic and it's pretty much the only meal he'll actually eat. Kace thought it'd be fun to teach him how to make french toast. He LOVED it! He thought it was so much fun flipping the bread on the pan.

He's getting so big and sure loves his Aunt Kace! She's so good to him.

"Move it move it"

A little while ago Josh came over and spent a few hours at our house. He got a new fancy pants phone and was showing Ethan videos and things on it. After a little while I told him to look up the "Move it" song from Madagascar, (one of Ethan's all time favorite dancing songs) and this is what happened:

It was pretty cute. Thanks for visiting Josh! Ethan had a blast! You should come around more often.

Skateboarding

Mart will take Ethan to the skate park early Saturday mornings before the Lowe's kid build and let him ride on the skateboard if nobody is at the park. Ethan LOVES it!! He thinks it's so much fun.

Mart helping Ethan climb on the skateboard:

Cute little bug! He loves this nice weather. We did buy him a helmet for this activity for the future. He's bound to get in a lot of accidents, after all...he is a little boy.

Mart

Last Sunday we got all dressed up and headed out the door to go to church.

Here are my favorite boys all dressed up:

After church, I walked in the bathroom to Martin chopping off all his hair!! I walked in with enough time to help him fix it.

Here is his new "do":

It was a total shock and took days to get used to. Ethan thought it was super weird but is totally back to normal now.

For Hire

Worker for hire.

We charge by the hour.

Enjoys what he does.

And cute to boot.

Ethan had a blast re-arranging the dishwasher while I was loading it. What a good helper!

After that I had him help me carry cans down to the pantry and then we went to wash some clothes.

I showed him what I wanted loaded and he got to work. He thought it was so fun!

Because he's so hyper active and needs to be constantly busy, finding him some "big kid jobs" was really good for him. It kept him busy and it was something new and it helped me out at the same time. He was super funny to watch do some chores around the house. I think he'll be helping me more often!
