Christmas Eve

My mom has hosted a Christmas Eve party for as long as I can remember. We always get together and just hang out. For years and years we would just fry anything we could find and snack on that all night long, and ended up leaving with sick stomachs. This year, she decided we were going to change up the menu and we did homemade soups with fresh bread bowls from great harvest and we broke out the old chocolate fountain from my wedding. It was fun and none of us left sick!

And what would a Christmas even party be without opening up Christmas pj's so that the kids can wake up Christmas morning in new jammies!



Jaden's pj's had a minor mishap which I thought was really funny. He pulled the first slipper out of the box which was a black slip on, and then pulled the second one out which was a brown moccasin. He kept looking at his mom questioning her thinking she had done it on purpose. She was totally shocked that they were wrong. It made me laugh pretty hard.

The last couple of years since my family has grown A LOT, each member of each family will draw a name and we just get them gifts instead of buying for everyone. Ethan had Karlin's name but she wasn't going to be there on Christmas so we gave it to her Christmas Eve instead. Mart has been planning her gift for probably 6 months and was super excited to give it to her. He built her her very own vanity. It turned out really cute.
